How do I choose a Photographer?

* Start looking early. Good Photographers can be booked years in advance.

* Visit around three Photographers, you will get confused if you see many more than that!

* With digital & Film photography, there is good and bad and recently very bad, more complaints than ever before are received by the photographic Associations with bad photography. This is due to mainly digital photography, its so easy to pick up a camera and think you can do it for a living
you still need many years of experience and training.

Make sure you see up to date complete display albums off one wedding not several, the images should be clean and sharp and not fuzzy.

*A good guide is if the photographer is qualified, and qualified in Wedding Photography
the higher the qualification the better they will be, athough I know good Wedding Photographers with no Qualifications.

LBIPP, LMPA, LSWPP these are the starting qualification, still hard to get and are good to very good photographers.

ABIPP, AMPA, ASWPP these are the creme da la creme, if you find one you like just book them you won't go wrong!

FBIPP, FMPA, FSWPP if you find one, and you can you afford them, you will pay up to £6000 for coverage they are brilliant.

QEP this is a new qualification started in 1999 and is only given to the best photographers in europe the UK only has around 3 at the moment in Wedding photography and I am one! it comes between ABIPP & FBIPP

Award winning photographers are now 10 a penny and don't really mean that much
unless they have won National Awards up againts the FBIPP's of this world.

So I hoped this has helped a little!

Remember all you have left to remember your Wedding day by is your photographs. The average cost of a Wedding is £13000.00 can you trust a friend, or the local window cleaner with a digital camera to record your special day.

The average cost for a professional photographer is around £1000, a dress flowers and even the cake can cost much more than that! only use a qualified professional photographer.

The photographer is the only person who deals with your wedding before the day and afterwards. A good photographer can be your wedding coordinator and weather man and even put you buttonholes on
